Syrian government forces enter strategic airbase in Idlib
Syrian government forces have entered a strategic airbase in Idlib province occupied by terrorist groups. The Abu Zuhour air base has been under the control of foreign-backed militants since 20-15. The advancement is part of the army’s ongoing operations to liberate Idlib from terror groups. Phase two of the operation is to liberate the highway linking Hama to Aleppo. Elsewhere in Idlib province, Syrian forces have regained full control over the village of Om Tineh following heavy clashes with Nusra Front terrorists. Government forces are now in control of over 90 villages southeast of Idlib and dozens more southwest of Aleppo.
