US ‘evidence’ of ‘Iranian-made’ missile sparks ridicule
Iran’s foreign minister has scoffed at Washington after the US envoy to the UN showed pieces of metal to her Security Council peers, claiming they belonged to an Iranian missile, hit over Saudi Arabia. Mohammad Javad Zarif placed pictures of the missile parts next to a packet of Iranian-made cheese puffs! He said the missile fragments bear the standard logo Iran use to mark its foodstuffs. Iran's top diplomat said the US must try to fabricate its evidence again. Zarif also questioned Washington’s earlier show of a fully assembled missile that the US claimed was Iranian and hit over Riyadh. He said it was too intact for a projectile destroyed by the Patriot system.
