An Asiatic cheetah cub, named “Iran”, has been recovered from smugglers by police and delivered to Iran’s Department of Environment. With only dozens of Asiatic cheetahs roaming in the wild, the discovery raises hopes that the critically-endangered species would be saved from extinction.
