Iran FM calls on EU to adopt measures to preserve nuclear deal
The Iranian foreign minister has called on the European Union to adopt practical measures to preserve the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries. Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks during a meeting with former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D’Alema in the capital Tehran. Zarif highlighted the necessity of the E-U’s role in maintaining and protecting the outcomes of the nuclear deal beside the bloc’s statements. The visiting Italian politician, for his part, stressed the importance of preserving the accord and enhancing the economic cooperation between Tehran and Rome. The meeting was held on the sideline of the Tehran Security Conference on Monday.
