Iran FM, European partners meet in Brussels on JCPOA
The Iranian, British, French and German foreign ministers as well as the EU foreign policy chief are holding a meeting in Brussels over the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. Europe and Iran are to put on a united front in support of the historic agreement. On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was in Moscow. He criticized what he called Washington's destructive policy and urged world powers to resist the hostile actions of the Trump administration. US President Donald Trump is expected to decide on Friday whether to extend waivers on nuclear-related sanctions against Tehran. He has repeatedly criticized the accord and threatened to walk out of it. Last October, Trump refused to certify Iran’s compliance with the deal but stopped short of withdrawing from it.
