Iran Leader: US will pay for damage inflicted on country
The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution says the US and Israel plotted the recent unrest staged by MKO terrorists with the financial backing of a stinking-rich Persian Gulf littoral state. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the enemies tried to exploit protests by ordinary people against existing problems, but people quickly saw into their plot and parted ways with the rioters. The leader said the mass demonstrations staged across the country since December 30 were a response to the plot by the enemy. Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the legitimate demands of the people should be distinguished from acts of violence and vandalism as well as insults against Islam and the national flag. The leader said Washington is angry with the Iranian government and people because of the defeat the U-S has suffered at their hands. Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the U-S will pay for the damage it inflicted on Iran during the recent riots.
