North, South Korea agree to hold military talks
North and South Korea have agreed to hold military talks in the future. The agreement was revealed after the two Koreas held high-level talks in the Demilitarized Zone for the first time in more than two years. The talks were intended to reduce tensions after Pyongyang traded barbs with Seoul and Washington. Prior to the détente negotiation between the two Koreas, the United States and South Korea said they would cancel their planned war games. Sources in Pyongyang say Seoul has proposed more talks next month to discuss family reunions.
