Activists slam Trump's immigration policies in Washington DC
Activists have held rallies in Washington DC against US President Donald Trump and his immigration policies. Muslims held a prayer service outside the White House. They were marking the one-year anniversary since Trump signed an order restricting people of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. That order was later changed, leading to a year of battles over immigration in the United States. A separate protest was held at the Lincoln Memorial, with protesters calling for impeachment of Trump. They accused Trump of being divisive, slamming the president over vulgar remarks he made about immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African nations.
