Iran reiterates position on missile program
Iran has once again stressed that the country’s missile program is non-negotiable. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, described Iran’s defense program as a red line which no one will be allowed to cross. This came after France said Tehran and Paris had started negotiations on Iran’s missile program. The Iranian diplomat dismissed the claim. Meanwhile, France has accused Iran of not respecting part of a U-N Security Council resolution that demands it refrain from working on ballistic missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads. The Islamic Republic has repeatedly said its missile program is entirely defensive and poses no threat to anyone.
