Riyadh accused of repression despite reforms
A leading human rights organization has lashed out at the Saudi crown prince for intensifying a heavy-handed crackdown on dissidents despite implementing minor reforms. The Human Rights Watch says political activists in Saudi Arabia were convicted on QUOTE vague charges and are serving lengthy prison sentences. According to the H-R-W, Mohammad Bin Salman’s QUOTE baby steps on women’s rights reforms cannot whitewash the Kingdom’s systemic abuses. The prominent human rights group has also revealed that since the begining of 20-18, Riyadh has carried out scores of airstrikes in Yemen, killing nearly one-thousand civilians.
