See miraculous rescue of bird from frozen river in St. Petersburg
A video has emerged of a bird being rescued from the frozen Neva River in St. Petersburg on Saturday. The rescue team was alerted to the animal’s plight by a member of the public. The gull was unable to fly away after its legs became frozen into the waters of the Neva. Rescuers dressed in wetsuits managed to save the bird by wresting it free from the ice and placing it in a net.
