Syrian foreign ministry condemns Israeli attacks on country in letters to UN
Syria has written two letters to the United Nations, slamming attacks by the Israeli regime on the Syrian territory. In the letters addressed to the U-N Secretary-General and the Security Council, Syria’s Foreign Ministry urged the Security Council to take immediate action and stop the attacks. The ministry says Tel Aviv cannot defend its allied terrorist groups by carrying out such attacks in the Syrian territory. The Syrian army says it has hit an Israeli warplane and intercepted missiles after Tel Aviv attacked a military site near Damascus on Tuesday. Missiles were also fired from the occupied Golan Heights. No casualties have been reported.
