The Debate - Fighting militants in Syria
The Syrian army is intensely fighting pockets where Daesh and other foreign-backed militants are in their final push to clean out Syria from these terrorists completely. Even though the terrorists have for the most part been defeated, there still exists a main challenge: how to bring about a political solution to the country. In this edition of the debate, we will look at how Syria is doing on the ground and politically, while the US is still looking to make its presence felt in the country, albeit by force, while accused of training militants.
