Trump awarded anti-press prize
A journalism advocacy group has awarded US President Donald Trump a tongue-in-cheek prize for undermining freedom of the press in the world. The Committee to Protect Journalists says Trump was first among world leaders for trying to silence critics and censor citizens. The New York-based group says Trump received first prize for his QUOTE- overall achievement. The U-S president was also named runner-up in the "most thin-skinned" category, losing to Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan. Trump has frequently criticized and threatened the media. He has also suggested that U-S libel laws should be changed to make it easier to go after news organizations.
