US scientists to protect whales from ship collisions
Off the west coast of the United States, the largest animal on the planet and giant ships are on a collision course. Dozens of blue whales are killed every year in shipping lanes off the coast of California. Now, scientists are looking at ways to develop a warning system for ships in order to save the whales.
